Arrival and Public Transport

Tübingen (https://www.tuebingen.de/) is not a transportation hub and is not a city for car drivers. A free public transport ticket is included in the conference fee. The bus network and the scheduling are very good. Many places are within walking distance.

 

Accommodation/Hotels

Tübingen is both a university town and a tourist city. Immediately after the conference, starting as early as Wednesday, we will host the Umbrian-Provençal Market in the city area. Accommodation and the reserved hotel blocks should be booked as early as possible. Here you can find the reservation form (German).

Cafeteria

Conference participants can have lunch in the cafeteria directly on site (https://www.my-stuwe.de/mensa/mensa-morgenstelle-tuebingen/). The possibility of paying with debit/credit cards is available at all locations, each with two terminals. Furthermore, some guests can pay with a cafeteria card from the InfoPoint. This makes the payment process at the cash registers a bit faster. The cafeteria card is issued on-site at the InfoPoint with a deposit of 5.00 EUR and can be recharged with a debit/credit card. When returned, any remaining balance and deposit will be refunded to the user's bank account via the used debit/credit card.

 

Excursions

The DBG conference in Tübingen offers a rich excursion program, which includes the Tübingen region as well as the southern German gems, the Black Forest, and the Swabian Jura. Additionally, we offer excursions for getting to know and handling the KA6.
